Novelis Strengthens Commitment to Children’s Museum of Oswego (CMOO) with Endowment to Enhance STE(A)M Education
The Children’s Museum of Oswego (CMOO) extends heartfelt thanks to Novelis for their significant endowment in 2024, which has been instrumental in supporting our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) programs. This generous investment strengthens our mission to provide hands-on, exploratory learning for children and families in Oswego and surrounding communities. Through this unwavering commitment, Novelis empowers us to create impactful STEAM experiences that inspire young minds and equip them with the skills to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
Through this partnership, Novelis has not only helped sustain CMOO’s STEM educator position but has also sponsored Summer STEAM Camps and year-round STEAM programming, ensuring that innovative, science-based learning remains accessible to children of all ages.
A History of Impactful Support
Novelis’s ongoing investment has already made a profound difference:
- Over 200 children have participated in our STEAM-based summer programs, gaining hands-on experience in science and technology.
- More than 130,000 visitors have played and learned in the Novelis-sponsored exhibit, which encourages creativity and problem-solving skills.
- The Mobile STEM Lab, also made possible by Novelis, has brought interactive exhibits directly to thousands of students in public schools, fostering curiosity and a love for science.
Looking Ahead
This endowment solidifies Novelis’s role as a crucial supporter of CMOO and the future of STEAM education in our region. With this backing, we will continue to offer enriching programs that empower children to explore and learn through play, while cultivating the next generation of innovators.
