What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday, is a global movement that encourages people to give back to their communities and support charitable causes. It takes place annually on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States, following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The idea is to shift the focus from consumerism to philanthropy, creating a day dedicated to giving, whether through donations, volunteering, or other acts of kindness. Please donate today!
How Your Donations Make a Difference
This Giving Tuesday, your support will help the Children’s Museum of Oswego fund essential programs, exhibit maintenance, and operational costs, ensuring that children and families can continue to enjoy a space for learning, creativity, and play. Your generosity keeps the joy and discovery alive at CMOO—every dollar makes a difference in sustaining our beloved community resource.
This Giving Tuesday, we’re setting an ambitious goal to raise $10,000 to support the Children’s Museum of Oswego and keep our doors open for joyful learning and discovery! These funds will help expand our Free Admission Days program, giving more families the chance to explore CMOO regardless of financial circumstances. Donations will also power our mobile museum programs, bringing hands-on experiences to schools and communities throughout Oswego County.
We’re also aiming to bring 100 new donors into our CMOO community, gain 500 social media shares of our campaign, and add 200 new social media friends to our growing family of supporters. With every dollar and every share, you’re helping ensure that children and families across Oswego have access to enriching, creative, and educational experiences.
It is not just about your donations, working up to December 3rd you can help by following us on Facebook, and liking and sharing our posts!
